Reducing Brake Particle Emissions to Comply with Euro 7

Steven Wicks | 04/18/2024

WHAT IS THE BRAKING INDUSTRY DOING TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF EURO 7?

Euro 7 is the centrepiece of the European Commission’s (EC) clean air strategy. It states that by 2035, the legislation will have led to 35% less Nitrous Oxide emissions from cars and vans, and particles from car brakes will be 27% lower.32

These are important targets for the automotive industry, but the pressure is on for OEMs & brake manufacturers. They face the pressing challenge of reducing brake particle emissions before the new rules come into play.

In this report, we will explore the strategies in place to reduce brake particle emissions and the innovative solutions to make the industry more sustainable.
