Yan-Ying Chen

Senior Research Scientist, Future Product Innovation team Toyota Research Institute

Yan-Ying Chen is a researcher in Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing, with a special interest in Human-Centered AI. Her research has been largely applied to enterprise AI solutions such as image report generation, consumer preference analytics, and more recently, generative vehicle design. She is currently a Senior Research Scientist in the Future Product Innovation group at Toyota Research Institute. Before that, she was fortunate to work with talented researchers at Fuji-Xero (now FujiFilm) and Columbia University. She obtained her Ph.D. in Computer Science from National Taiwan University.

Agenda Day 1

2:20 PM HEAR FROM A LEADING OEM USING GENAI TOOLS TO TRANSFORM VEHICLE DESIGN & TIME-TO-MARKET

VEHICLE DESIGN USE CASE PRESENTATION & SUBSEQUENT PANEL DISCUSSION

  • Find out how an AI model was built that can incorporate precise engineering constraint to maximize the performance of future cars.
  • Learn how to create digital prototypes of vehicles that are put through simulated real-world tests, enabling engineers to identify potential flaws early in the development process.
  • Understand the application of GenAI to improve product design to include features that were previously not reachable.
  • Hear the speaker demonstrate how to apply image generation models to vehicle design.
  • Gain information on how to cut number of iterations considerably and allow designers and engineers to work more closely and quickly.

Check out the incredible speaker line-up to see who will be joining Matt.
