Volker joined Shell in 1992 with a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Stuttgart University.  In his career, he managed global technology for transformer oils, process oils and other specialty oils. After roles as group manager lubricants technology in Hamburg and as Senior Technical Advisor role for Strategic Technology he developed partnerships with key OEM as product application specialist. Since 2019 he has been managing thermal fluid technology
