WHO CAN USE IT? DOES IT ACTUALLY WORK? WHAT ARE THE PROS AND CONS?

Plug and charge allows EV drivers to enter the charging point and simply connect the vehicle, where there is a certificate exchange between vehicle, charge port operator and customer, and begin automatically charging. While this system seems convenient for customer, questions remain:

• Which charging hardware is required?
• Which charging infrastructure is necessary?
• Where are the databases to store vehicle data?
• Who issues the certificate to make this work?

Charging should be equal to fuelling and the advanced technologies should allow hassle free electric mobility for customers. This session will zero in on this discussion, highlighting:
